DIY Cabinet with door slider

My husband Rick is building a cabinet for his foam cutting machine.  We were looking for some kind of E channel for the sliding doors.  I found this in the garage door trim section at Menards.

This is the (Real) side of it, we wanted it for the channels on the back side.

He cut it right down the middle and he now has his E channel for the top and the bottom.

He build the cabinet, put wheels on it so he can move it around the shop, screwed down half the trim on the bottom,

then screwed the other half on the top.  The top is a scratch and dent solid door he picked up at Menards for $20.00.

So far it is looking petty good.

The doors were put in, then the top screwed down.  Handles installed and there you have it.

The slid back and forth real good.

Now he is ready to put the foam cutting machine on the new cabinet.

Small Blue Table

I don't know what kind of table it is, but it does fold up, maybe something that went in a camper or motorhome.

OK time to get to work.

This piece took a lot of time.  I learned a lot,  It took 3 and even 4 coats of paint on some areas.

I have a Darrell Bush picture for this room, it is called 6am opening day, here it is.  At the moment it is off being framed.

When I found this coke cooler, I knew it would go in this room.

My new work table.

There is a weekly auction not far from me and I went there a couple of weeks ago for the first time.  I picked these tables up for a dollar, yes my friends I got these two tables for one dollar.

I stacked the two and this is now my work bench.  I put my projects up on the table to do my painting, sanding or what ever I need to do.  I love this work bench.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Little Red Table, or Two!

Many years ago I dabbled in a few refinish projects.  Fast forward to 2013 and I have my hands on furniture again and loving every minute of it.  Don't get me wrong, it is hard work, for me almost therapeutic.  I tend to block everything out and just concentrate on the piece I am working on.

This is my first attempt in years at revamping a piece.
I found this at a yard sale for $20.00.  I like to preserve wood as much as possible but this little gem needed a makeover.

Notice the dust,  they didn't even take the time to dust it off  before the put it up for sale.  The top party of this stand would swivel if you wanted to turn the TV.

I decided to take it apart and make 2 tables out if it.

A little sanding, some spray paint and here we go.  I love the color.  I live in a log home so I have lots of what you may call the wood color in my house :).

She sits on the back porch.  The chairs will get a face lift some day as well.

Ok for the second table,  I put some legs on it, spray painted it and there you have it, table #2.  I don't  think she will stay there, my back porch is a work in progress.

Thanks for stopping by.
