Green Caddy

I Love this little caddy.  There was no need to to anything to it.

It spins around and I keeps everything I need at reach.

There is another story behind these paint brushes.  I bought a stand from a auction and inside were all these brushes and some other painting supplies.  I did not have the heart to throw them out.  I would love to hear the stories behind these brushes.
I do wonder why they were never cleaned up.

This jar holds not only my paint sticks but a few
hat pins I bought at a antique show.

Thanks to a blog I follow "Funky Junk"  I lifted Donn'a idea on these jars and painted the rims of them.

I painted the lids black then dry brushed some brown paint then I took some white and just randomly dabbed here and there

The jars I painted a cream color, let them dry then sanded.  I did brush paint mine,  some don't like the brush strokes but I do, it reminds me of painting with my grandmother when I was younger.

Thanks for stopping by.

TV Stand

I needed a little change, Fred (the trunk) just wasn't cutting it.

Rick and I have had this old wheel barrel for years.
I usually had a plant or two sitting on it.
The trunk I had there just seemed to clutter things up.
I like how it opened up that corner.
I did hang a big doily on the back to hide all the cords.

The TV is sitting on an old piece of barn wood my Dad gave me.
I had that piece of barn wood stored in the garage for years,
now it has a new home.

To even every thing up I used these bricks on the one end.

I decided to use this to display our old carpenter tools.

The wheel barrel is not level so I needed to use this block to make it all even.

I needed to hide the block so this came in handy.
The wine bottle is from our honeymoon (December of 1997).

We still needed a little pick me up so Rick cut off a couple of slices of what was left over from our log railing.

Finished project.

Oh we do not have cable TV,
we really don't watch much TV and this
little guy is what we call the New updated rabbit ears!!

Old rabbit ears!
